About Chinese Herbal Medicine

People have long utilized herbs and herbal medicines as an effective, yet safer and more natural method of health care than conventional (chemical based) medical regimes. Chinese Herbal Medicine is a wellness-type of therapy that seeks to optimize health and wellness instead of treating disease after it has developed. Chinese Herbal Medicine is a natural, non-invasive method that assists in preventing future illness and heading off the complications associated with those illnesses.

For centuries, China and other Eastern countries have embraced herbal therapy; and enjoyed the benefits it has provided. In recent years, the West has caught on to the effectiveness of this ancient herbal medicine and has started to incorporate Chinese herbs in the treatment of a wide range of health concerns. The reason behind this shift in approach is a fundamental change in how we view health care. People have shifted from screening and aggressive treatment of disease to prevention of disease and enhancement of well-being.

So Many Side Effects

Too many patients are taking medications to manage the side-effects of other medications. When we seek to enhance or maintain well-being and good health through the use of Chinese Herbs, the goal is to keep chemical medicines to a bare minimum or not need them at all.

A More Natural Approach

Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine works on the underlying causes of the illness while conventional (chemical) medicine works on the symptoms without addressing the source. There have been many recorded studies completed that have shown the effectiveness of Chinese Herbal Therapy. This research can be made available for those who may be interested in knowing more about it.
